請問有哪位師兄認識這鏡？ "Contax Zeiss 40-80mm Vario-Sonnar T* C/Y Mount"
這是一枝很舊的鏡嗎？網上有關這鏡的資料很多時會連 Contax 167MT 一齊講，唔知這鏡是否 167MT 的 kit lens or 當時 D 用家鐘意這配搭？？？
對這鏡有何評價呢？

用五個字形容︰ 人像專用鏡

不過range不夠闊，及為早期鏡種，很少人有。

ps. 呢度好似只有aeg︳

This is a very old Zeiss zoom that was launched with RTS. Very heavy. For practical use 35-70 or 28-85 would be better. Due to the old age when buying check for slight fogging in the elements.

I don't think it is heavy. It is much lighter than the 28-85.
In fact the outlook and weight is very similar to the s135/2.8.

I used to use this lens. Well first and foremost, I do not agree that its a portrait lens only. Admittingly it has a lower contrast and lower accutance but resolving power is just abouyt the same as other zoom. As a general use Zoom I simply do not see it less desirable as the other, especially for those who are not always WA zealous.

Combine the 40-80 with a 28/2.8 and one can have quite a decent package as a start
