不知有沒有前輩 post 過?? 無論如何, 相信有很多現或前 G system 用家看完會有些感觸吧...

我未看之前都曾經幻想過 Kyocera 會不會突然 "神經刀" 出一部 digital 版 full frame 的 G 系機?? 到時 G 系鏡肯定炒到癲...

我覺得如果真係有 digital G，佢一定會繼續出D鏡，反而唔會好似而家咁炒起哂~
不過，都係發完夢啦，要醒~

IMHO Kyocera's mis-management of the Contax brand is very much a sad, but kind of innocent naive way of business handling. In such a way as to the point of trying to support too much the ongoing of Manual focus and film community in its customer populations.

In a word, and in a sense its not incorrect since all its customer to a fair degree are hobbyist that cater to the film and the traditional way. But the point is the market and also the photographic society is in a very brisk changing period, and Kyocera just fail to see that and simply drag itself for way too long.

Like I used to say, at time of introduction of the N series, Kyocera should had go out and abandon the C/Y ( just as Minolta with their MD and Canon with their FD ) and direct the market and customer to a film/digital solution package.

Is a digital G system going to be a feasible one. From hindsight I had to question that. AT then time, both imaging technology in software and hardware just do not yet support a good and proper way to introduce G system into digital. It still is today as witnessed by the trouble Leica with the M8 and Epson's difficulties with the R-D1.

As for myself, after owning the G2 System, I find the Carl Zeiss lens irresistible. I liked them so much that I got myself a N1 System so I can continue my love for the Contax brand. I also owned digital equipment as well but I always seem to come back to film. Call me old fashion - I still love negatives. I truely hope Contax brand will revive.

No worry Eugene ... too many old fashioned or stubborn people like you at least in this forum. I am surely one of those.
