好簡單講

N1 是 Contax N Series 可以!設計係可以自動對焦。

RTS 是 Contax SLR Series (當然 N都係SLR),只可以用手動對焦鏡頭 (AX 可以自動對焦,但係不在鏡身對焦。)

I'm a new Contax user. Great detail indeed. Thanks so much. Since you brought it up, I would also like to know the lens mount.
(1) So, RTS, must only use manual focus lens while N1 can use AF lense.
(2) Is C/Y mount = MM mount? Are C/Y lens only manual focus or AF is also available?
(3) Can N1 utilise NAM-1 adaptor to use C/Y or MM lens, assuming if I only use the manual part?

Appreciate.

(1) Yes. RTS works with CONTAX/Yashica (C/Y) mount manual-focus lens lineup, or with Hasselblad V-series lenses by original adapter. It can also work with certain other brands of lenses with 3rd party adapter.

N1 uses CONTAX-N series AF lenses. Or it can use CONTAX-645 lenses by NAM-1 adapter which provides full AF function (except Apo-Makro-Planar 120/4 which is MF in nature). It can even use Hasselblad-V lenses with NAM-1+MAM-1 adapter simultaneously, or other brands of lenses with 3rd party adapter.

(2) 'C/Y' stands for 'CONTAX-YASHICA' mount lenses lineup which were manufactured under the brand name of "CONTAX" or "Yashica".

While "MM" stands for "Multi-mode", which was a name given to certain later updated batch of COTNAX C/Y lenses. 'Program' & 'Tv' exposure functions are available when they work with CONTAX 159, 167MT, RTSIII, RX, ST, AX, Aria and RXII cameras. This is indeed, in general, the major difference feature from the early batch of CONTAX C/Y lenses.

C/Y lenses are MF lenses. Only CONTAX AX camera gives AF function to C/Y or Hasselblad-V lenses.

(3) N1 can never be used with C/Y lenses by original factory adapter. 'NAM-1' is an adapter for N1 to work with CONTAX-645 lenses.
