For second hand Carl Zeiss wide angle lens .... Beware of those lens have FLOATING ELEMENTS ! ! ! Specially the 35/1.4 Distagon ! ! ! must be tested before buy ! ! ! It is very difficult to re-alignment without appropriate equipment. I have no experience with the 21/2.8 so cannot give any ideas. The 18/4 is more reliable in terms of Floating elements alignment problem since the rear group is fixed, only the front group serves as focusing + Flaoting. Therefore more easily for re-alignments if needed. All other mentioned wide angle lens has no floating elements. (except the 15/3.5 and 28/2 Distagon).
The no. of elements of a lens should also be considered..........
I suppose for those lenses having fewer lens elements, the alignment of the elements are especially cricial for the correctness of the optical path, which will affect the overall optical performance of the lens. (e.g Planar 135/2 with 5 elements only...........)
