You can expect this same around the world , but then the M8 is not priced right in the first place and now this. Well they want more business, but they are not pricing items as per market governing, but priced them so they can made best profit despite the fact that the product is already not in line with the market.

Those 2.5 lens , as they are , sure do get them into the realm of priced almost the same as ZM and thus open it to more hobbyist. But they still need to be able to field a proper camera. There is no reason why such dated and mature technology need to be priced as such.

In the end, Leica want more market but fail to leave with the fact that to do that, you cannot just be yourself, you must also meet market and consumer expectations one way and more ....

如何界定 over-priced? Leica 至今亦沒有表明其產品中所有部件亦是 100% Made in Germany at Solms..........

又如果 Leica 承認有使用 Hoya 的光學玻璃 (Leitz 的 glass lab 早已不存在), 大家會否覺得被其 "Made in Germany" 之名所騙? (個人理解為各種規格的光學玻璃之成份及製造方法皆有專利, 若光學上的設計要求使用某種材料, 就無可避免需要向持有專利的玻璃廠購買)

不同意....

Leica 近年價格的加幅, 很大程度上是把其於市場策略上的過失直接轉介於消費者, 試想想 2001 年的時候, 一支 Summicron 35/2 ASPH 只售 HKD$8000 左右, 到現時大約 HK$16000, 總不能把加幅原全歸咎於 EURO 的升值 (由 EUR 1 = HKD$7 到 HKD$10.5 亦只有 50% 升幅........)

作為 Leica 的 顧客只有兩個選擇, 一是抗拒加價, 不買加價後的 Leica........那麼 Leica 早已經關門大吉........

另一選擇是以新價格繼續購買 Leica 產品, 以資助其運作............今天 Leica 仍能活下來, 就知其顧客群的 demand 是何其 inelastic........

Leica 的加價決定是否正確? 從政策上分析這無助加大其顧客群, 不過環球經濟從 2003 年後大致向好發展就為其政策助了一把, 至少把相對蚊型, 沒有大財團支持下的 Leica 救活下來, 這數年間 Leica 於新興市場的銷量增幅亦相信是 Leica 始料不及的, 不過歷史告訴我們環球經濟總不能永遠向上, 越為高消費價位的品牌, 更能享受於經濟暢旺的甜頭之時, 亦需承受經濟情況轉壞時更大的打擊, 倘若於那時候只以減價的方法去度過難關, 品牌的信用度 (credibility) 亦會蕩然無存, 想當年的香港市場的 SAAB 及 Volvo 就是最好例子

Summarit-M 的推出絕對有助 Leica 作風險平均作用, 不過大家亦不要忘記, 想當年的 Leica CL 之所以停產, 很大程度是由於其對同期 Leica M4 / M5 銷售量的影響

Sonnar T* 85/2 暫未有實際零售的行/水價格，還未是時候與同樣德製而較接近的 Leica 90/2 和 75/2 比較.......而且........等真係有得買才說.....

至於 Distagon T* 15/2.8 在市場上根本無同級對手 (最相近的是日製 Voigtlander 的 SWH15/4.5)，真可說是「名貴」了，但我認為還無法說她的價位是否 "over"。同樣地我們也無法說 Leitz 的 Hologon 15/8 的價位是否 "over"..........物以罕為貴，只有好此道的朋友有沒有購買力的考慮。

ZM 在短短的 2 年已帶來 4 支 M-mount 頂級的 super wide angle (D15/2.8, D18/4, B21/2.8, C-B21/4.5) ，似乎在考驗大家的耐性..........

Anyway 在市道炒熱的這時， Leica 為玩家提供這一系列價格相宜的鏡，真是一眾 rangefinder lover 的佳音！

The Hologon is long out of production and in any case even Leica need to purchase that themselves from Zeiss so that is not a case for fair consideration. In a sense the now current 15 Distagon is pretty much in the same boat. In a way, that is you want this, you just had to pay for it. There is no alternatives.

In the end, if Leica do want to get into continuous healthy business, they need to start actually making decent lens and cameras and reasonably priced and market them. The way they do the Tri-Elmar and M8 is clearly not the way to go. NO amount of this new lens lineup will be able to actually broaden and made the Leica market any more lively the way it is now

Addition to that, its even more incentive for Zeiss / Cosina / Epson to do yet another M mount digital body. Somewhat priced the same as per a mid range DSLR ( say Fujifilm S5- pro with grip ) would probably be very market savvy indeed.

Then Leica will most likely be dead. Or at least they need to make M8 price drop or make M8a a cheaper version.

BTW, the Stock Market is most likely going to BEAR. I suppose the production time maybe affected and less new lens for the coming future.

Leica條路好難行。反為Zeiss做OEM真係做得幾好
