Lateral Chromatic Aberration
Lateral Chromatic Aberration is a error which appears in the form of colour fringers at the edges of the image. It is an off-axis aberration since it has zero error appears at the optical centre of the focal image but the error will increases as the angle of field increases.
Lateral chromatic aberration is concerns the size of the image and it will increase with the focal length of the lens increase. The way to minized lateral chromatic aberration is using symmertical lens construction or make use of the optical glasses such as extra-low glass (ED).
