well its inevitable. So if Olympus and Panasonic can do that with 4/3, its equally so for others to do that with their DSLR. Shouldn't surprise others that Samsung do that with their ( and that would mean a Pentax version ; might be )

Actually I think it looks quite a bit better than Panasonic's G1, and considering Samsung usually inherit Pentax's imaging ( which mean much conservative and less processed ) I had some hope for this one ... Wonder how the mount to be ...

It looks like a K-mount to me but could be something else.

it seems that the future market trend would be "de-mirror-ize" for the APS format and focus on the entry to middle level (up to USD$1000)

Full frame would remain something around USD$1500 or above market.....

We should also applaud to the Korean for their brave and vision...........especially in the days of downturn......

I doubt also the meaning of a digital rangefinder camera......

One can easily make a live view digital camera with interchangeable lens mount...........even thinner than a Leica M!

Finger crossed for the Pentax version, let's hope we can use our M mount and G mount on this one with a smaller crop factor..... dreaming to digitalize my Pentax 110 lenses

once sensor based viewing possible with large sensor, its no longer a issue of what might be, but when. Panasonic got in the first ball. Now Samsung, most established camera Mfr are IMHO just too tie up with their old system that they dare not to venture off.

I am seeing a future with EVIL, and DSLR sharing same system resource with compatible mount.

The real deal is still where that left with real pocketable compacts. In film days I can take a Contax T3 or Ricoh GR-1 and expect the same kind of quliaty image as they take the same media ( the same film ) We simply do not yet had any of that in digital.

Actually Olympus and Panasonic had the best possibility to do that. But even Panasonic choose not to put a 4/3 sensor into the LX-3 , probably trying to market that different than the G1.

Now with this Samsung. we really had no need for the like of Epson R-D1 or to many the Leica M8, an EVIL cam do all of that together with a better framing, composing and focusing mechanism.
