I suspect is Cosina supplied the parts for the lenses and Rollei assembled them. I have seen the 40mm and the 80mm but never the 50/1.4 Planar.

I only owned the 40mm. The build quality far exceed the Japan made ZM lenses. The aperture and focusing movement are very good. The glass could be manufactured by Rollei themself as the 40mm is the same design as the one on 35S, and the 80mm is actually the same lens on the TLR.

From usage point of view, probably the ZM 35/2 and 50/2 make more sense (I use both), but to me the 40/2.8 has a very special character and it is sentimental to me as I have used a Rollei 35S in those days and like the sweetness of the 40mm sonnar.

BTW, what is the price for a standard body + 40mm f/2.8 in 2nd hand market?

Rollei is famous for bad Electronic Parts (In particular Rolleiflex 600x series). Any problem for this Rollei 35 RF?

Price not sure. Lost touch with market very long already.

As for electronics, 35RF is essentially a Bessa R2 and is fully mechanical. The only electronic is the metering, which being so simple I think it can hardly go wrong ......

今日玩過下部Bessa R3，具體的Model唔記得了。但好似有35, 50 75mm Framelines
不過易用或光度唔比我部Olympus 35好得幾多。
其實Leica係咪真係光好多易對好多，定係用Rangefinder唔多人會對焦的呢？
Shutter好大聲，唔知在可能的情況下最慢可以係1/15s Possible 否，以正常人計。Rollei 35會唔會好一些，定係都係一樣呢？
咁Zeiss F 呢？

Bessa R3 should be having the 40mm frame line instead of the 35mm frame line.

Rollie 35RF is kind of the model in between R2 and R2A/R2M. The latest batch of Bessa R2A/R2M, R3A/R3M and R4A/R4M are much more refine than the R2.

View finder based on my brief impression the Bessa/Rollei 35RF is as good if not slightly better than the M6. But I have not seen a M6 TTL so cannot comment on that.

Shutter noise based on the input from many in the rangefinderforum.com forum is actually not that loud but sound metallic. Cannot comment on the slowest shutter speed as I am essentially a tripod man and do not belief in taking photos hand held at low shutter speed unless no choice.

Rollei 35 is lens shutter so very low noise and vibration but then the camera is too small to be held in a very stable manner. Plus no focusing mechanism thus very difficult taking photos at f2.8 at close distance.

Not sure about your Zeiss F question. Are you talking about the new Zeiss Ikon camera? Have been eyeing it but not budget for one yet. Looks good to me and it will definitely be my next film range finder body .............

I would like to confirm a few things!

1. Is Rollei 50mm f/1.8 never issue in the market?
2. Is it a M Mount fully compatible?
3. Do you have any link on how the Rollei 80mm f/2.8 samples?

At first when I look at the Topic 8485 I feel! YEAH! This is the lens I wanted SUPER
But then the Bokeh of topic 8045........
Is this type of Boken the design style for Rollei HFT? Or just this Portrait Lens?

But must remember the HFT 80/2.8 is a medium format lens, now adapted to be used on a 35mm Leica M body. 80mm is a standard focal length on medium format, so I think the way it draws will be different from a 80mm in 35mm format ........
