Actually what is the biggest advantage of this type of digital cam over DSLR? Size to me is not an important factor. How about focusing accuracy? When use with adaptors need stop down metering things like that?
You need stop down metering with adepted lens whether mirroless or DSLR .. that is not the issue.
The advantage of Mirrorless is sort of the same as SLR vs RF in film days, the register and lack of anything in between media ? shutter and lens means lens can be designed to perform to a higher level, be made faster, be made slimmer, utilize some optical design that's not possible in a SLR type setup or any combination of such. Thje Samsung 30mm/2.0 lens is a fine example. Its fast, slim, and can use optical design that cater to the form.
focusing Accuracy is not about the mount or the form factor. Its the control of motor and AF mechanism and that goes with any type of AF canmera. CDAF / PDAF discussion is plenty on the net so I won't repeat. But accuracy as accuracy goes ... they both work fine these days and both having their problems.
Remember DSLR or SLt or Mirrorless is just different form of camera build. That does not mean one is better or worse. What manifest is certain form is better at certain need ... that's why I say Sony had the most harmonious setup as far as camera goes ( they need lens now )
