講真, 呢 d dc 鏡係都買副廠啦, 反正質素唔會差好遠, 諗唔到理由俾多 d 錢 ...

Well, make or in dependent is not an absolute answer. I tend to read these matter differently. All I can see is one lens might be worth its more than another but not by brand.

But then, I believe Canon is perfectly alright with this lens. Whiel so many are keep tauting FF or what. Truth is APS-C sized sensor is now an established format and work out quite well. There is simply no reason for any Mfr to go FF, especially not for the Entry / amateur market. Being able to stand in thjis sector means having to have proper product lineup , simply put

點解唔出喎~~呢d鏡成本低, 利錢多. 唔好忘記佢係EF-S 即係只有中心係見得下人, 而且好清楚以市場策略看, APS size 反宜係一條血路, ff係無可能取代這個range的客仔.

The problem is Canon never invested money to build an "L" lens for EF-S. To me, the 10-22 was a disappointment and it always makes me feel that EF-S is indeed "secondary" in the lineup. If I want to use APS sized sensor DSLR, I will go for Nikon.

Why should they ... by any measure, they aim this format for amateur, hobbyist and entry level customer. you want the top end of Canon, go buy the 1D, 1Ds range and buy all those L lens ... And besides, all those L lens can qork quite well on these bodies anyway, why bother making specific ones for them ... It simply made zero sense for Canon to do so ... Customer may cry or sworn for anything, but come time for real market sense, what sells is what got made; not those dream machine people keep wishing for
