Since, ZF and ZK is going with a large product line.

Therefore, what D-SLR body should I think of???

Nikon -> D200?
Fuji -> S5?
Pentax -> K10D?

Really want to know which one is a good start for D-SLR body.

As first I see the Pentax do have the anti-shake built-in. Which is a plus. (A tri-pod should help in some way)

But after all, I rather would like to find one that do make good image.

Or due to the fact that D-SLR body is having new product once in a while, I should go for the less expensive body?

Like the D40x, Not Fuji, K100D or K110D?

Hope someone can shine some light to me!!!

if you hate retouching, go for S5pro~~~

I got to disagree with this, all of them produce quality JOEg right out of the camera so long one learn to set proper those imaging parameters. The S5 Pro in fact had some rather serious issue on WB and that can be a problem for those who only intend to shoot.

But for real, DSLR is a totally different approach vs film. I had to yet say this again and again. It might be painful for many, but truth is with film, one might need only to know how to compose, focus, and control exposure; with Digital, its paramount that one learn all those imaging parameters too, and set them right for the shoot required. The S5-PRO is of no excpetion

Now FOA , is there current DSLR that do not produce decent image at all. I mean if you actually learn to use those tools within a DSLR package, all of them are producing quality image alright. The question of just getting a low priced body because there will be better ones later is not a valid argument. Do new body take away the capability of older body on making image. Certainly not !!

Really the issue is finding one that suit the usage. So why are the Pentax K100d & Nikon D40 continuous to sell ; well they made quality image just as well as up marketed models. So in reality one must ask if one intent really to exploit the performance advantage of the more up market models. If not, then for sure even the low end models work fine enough.

Yes, you are right about it!

So right now, I think I will need to take a look if the ZK can get all the function like light metering, A-mode, T-mode, etc. (Need them from time to time!)

Then I will have to find a way to get those ZK lens in Canada.

If you don't have any asset or preference on the Nikon lens or Pentax lens, and just want a digital body to match the Zeiss lens, I am sure Nikon is the most logically choice.

Because you're choosing between two systems, so the accessories availability, the variety of diferent class of camera, and the future development are critical factors. Nikon wins in all aspects.

Of course, if you have preference on Pentax lens, it's another story.

but..the worst point it....if you go for Nikon, you have to select D200 or above..else Metering will give you some trouble...

Damn, my Calon Segur heart fall in love with Haut Brion

No problem, price of DC will keep going down continuously.
But Nikon F6 is much better than Pentax MZ-S.

我都喜歡Fuji，特別係我係Velvia同Reala的用家！
但係因為我本身係Contax死硬Fans，唔會放棄。
所以百撘的Olympus會合我多一些！
我最希望的係ZOM，但係又係沒有光圈連動問題(其實做不做到？)。
