is that leica is in deep financial problem? the banks have withdrawn its credit lines. actually it would be nice if carl zeiss and leica merge together. leica produces the camera and zeiss produces the lens.

Lecia is in financial trouble cos it is business-wise that it had such trouble so Hermes could privatize it cheaply.... It seems to me that it was a well plan scheme...The new 50 ASPH has thousands of backorder over the world and the new APO75 Summcrion ASPH is going to launched in May 2005....also a new company jointly owned by Lecia and Hermes is running its business in Japan (the large market for Lecia)...there is much less water goods around and its price is going up ... it is more likely Lecia will become legend....Lecia = Hermes, MP = Kelly bay... :twisted:

So let go buy Zeiss lens ZM mount.... :evil:

got a 50/2 today. with hood, b&w UV. all for 6k. is that a good deal?

they are charging the hood 6xx alone...

The 85/2 is almost more expensive than C/Y 85/1.2! 2f stops difference!
